This research focuses on the development of mobile robotic systems to monitor environments over long periods of time, in particular in environments where change occurs over a wide spectrum of different time scales. The research in this area is strongly supported by funding bodies in Europe, France and the USA, and has been designated a research priority in the Lorraine region.
