Building a Pedagogical Ontology to Improve Information Retrieval

Using OWL is today considered as an important step towards better semantic descriptions of Web data and possibilities of inference mechanisms. In this paper, we explain some experiments with defining and editing a pedagogical ontology. Using both this ontology and the expressive power of an OWL query language to query pedagogical resources will improve the retrieval and interchange of the resources.
