Synthesis of nanometric cubic BaTiO3 by using and original chemical route: Freeze-drying method

Abstract : We have succeeded to synthesize nanopowders of BaTiO(3) with the freeze-drying method, using barium acetate Ba(CH(3)CO(2))(2) and titanium isopropoxide Ti(Opr(i))(4) precursors. The detailed way of operating is described. Structural characterization shows unambiguously a long-range cubic order at room temperature.
