Discusses revisions made the Guide for Measurements of Electromagnetic Properties of Earth Media IEEE Standard 356. This Guide covers a wide range of techniques for the measurement of the conductivity, permittivity, and permeability of earth media. The knowledge of these parameters is important for the performance determination of an electromagnetic system as well as for remote sensing applications. The guide goes back to 1974.
