Abstract

The characterization of homogeneous 3-D obstacles in a Earth-like medium in the induction regime is investigated, the interaction between obstacles being accounted for. To simplify the approach yet to keep good accuracy they are modeled by conductive ellipsoids, the extended Born approximation and a pertinent low-frequency expansion of the fields being employed in addition. The inverse problem itself is solved by differential evolution.
